Okay doing a whole bunch of pregames today, because it's THE FINAL WEEKEND of baseball(dun dun duuuuunnnn) and well, I am a baseball fan first and foremost nd just because the Red Sox are just wanting to get their three games won and done doesn't mean I'm not interested in other teams. Cuz that's just silly stupid. So anyways some games of interest and also the Red Sox' pregame too.

Red Sox vs Orioles Tonight @ 7:05pm. Julian Tavarez, one of the very few bright spots of September, takes on Eric Bedard, who has lately had the Red Sox' number. I hope for Tavarez to do well, he's the only one who actually has ya know...shown up. And if we hafta go into next season w/ him as a fifth starter,I wouldn't be too upset, however, I do want another pitcher in this rotation dammit. Tavarez would make a nice long reliever though. So any other reasons to watch? Well Papi could homer, and who knows maybe Tavarez will pitch a no hitter. Also, my heart goes out to Daniel Cabrera who was just 2 outs away from a no hitter before Cano got that bloop. Bloop singles are the worst way for a no-hitter to be broken up.

Houston Astros vs Atlanta Braves 7:05pm. Clemens is on the mound against I believe his name is Chuck James. I'm not 100% accurate on taht but I'm sure kindofwhimsical the resident Braves fan on my F-List could correct me if I'm wrong. I'm rooting for the Stros cuz I kinda wanna see them make it.catslash prolly has more insight on the Stros than me. Also, is it just me or does it seems since 2004, the Astros do this every season? They wallow in the muckiness of the suck for most of the season but once late August/early September comes around, they suddenly come out of nowhere and are a threat to the playoff chases of some teams? I swear to god. I think from next year on I'm gonna say for regular season comebacks that the teams that were in contention that got knocked out or somethign got "Stro'd" I hate Clemens though....dickhead

Cincinatti Reds vs Pittsburgh Pirates @ 7:05pm. Aaron Harang takes on Zach Duke. My resident Reds fan friend avaio probably has better insight than me on the Reds. They're on a wing and a prayer in the playoff chase, and the likeliness is that they don't make it, but they still have that chance. Harang has been pretty good and they are taking on the Pirates who are like....well they have Freddy Sanchez. And Jason Bay.

Milwaukee Brewers vs St. Louis Cardinals @ 8:10pm. The Cardinals are collapsing and collapsing mightily. The myth of Tony La Russa and his "managerial genius" is coming under the fire. Basically what La Russa's gameplan was all this time was "Albert Pujols" though the feller can't pitch. Chris Capuano vs Jeff Weaver tonight. Weaver=headcase. Capuano=best kept secret. Com'on Brew Crew, I said you'd win the Central but you won't so avenge them here.

Los Angeles Dodgers vs San Francisco Giants @ 10:15pm. Ahh the West Coast games. Anyways, the Giants better kick some ass here. I can't bear to see the Dodgers in the playoffs, though this could be the perfect venue to make my little Grady prediction somewhat come true. However, tehre'll be a lot of differences. Like replace "Weaver" with "Lowe" and "Brazoban and Gagne" with the setup man and closer for the Dodgers currently. Yeah I'm kinda rooting for that.

San Diego Padres vs Arizona Diamondbacks @ 9:40pm. Strange start time, not as weird as the 7:07pm start time that the Blue Jays do though. Crazy Canadians. Rooting for the Padres, it is Red Sox West. I think half the team used to be on the Red Sox. So win and clinch that damn division San Diego. Fun times. Fun times. Clay Hensley and Livan Hernandez take on each other. Livan isn't what he used to be. That's as far as I can go w/ that one.

Kansas City Royals vs Detroit Tigers @ 7:05pm. Run Elvis Hernandez takes on Wilfredo Ledezma. Ledezma is not one of their better pitchers, but he does kick the Red SOx' ass alot. And this IS the Royals. They're currently tied for the AL Central(the Tigers) w/ the Twins, but regardless they will make the playoffs. Tigers--win goddammit. WINNNN. Why? Mehh I'd rather see them win the AL Central. The Twins kinda bother me. My Tiger pals offspeed, catslash, and heckraiser87 are better w/ this kind of stuff.

Chicago White Sox vs Minnesota Twins @ 8:10pm. Freddy Garcia vs Boof Bonser. Boof Bonser is one of the funnest names in the MLB. However, I don't want the Twins to win. I hate domes. A lot. The White Sox I'm not really huge on either, so I'm kinda gritting my teeth on this one. Stupid effing battle of teams I don't reallly like much. I know owllover711 wants them both to burn in hell.

Philadelphia Phillies vs Florida Marlins @ 7:15pm. Jamie Moyer vs Brian Moehler. Has Moyer ever won a ring? No? Then I'm rooting for him to do so, because he ain't getting any younger. Granted I hate Brett Myers and think he's a douche, but if I hafta I'll grit my teeth and root for him to win but wish he'd be taken out by a liner to the face. Only breaking hsi teeth though. :P I got some Philly pals on this F-List who can help me better w/ this analysis like phantom_hpuff, "maggiesox, singstheblues, and hopeless4him. They probably have better analysis. I'll say this though. Ryan Howard is on the team...taht alone I think is worth not giving up on this team. Even if they are 2 back. But they can do it!

And that is just the concrete proof that I'm a total nerd

wheee, i love baseball, red sox, tra la laaa, mlb, pregame, baseball
