Okay, my friends, that game is what we call "Okay I saw that coming..." aka a pretty shitty loss, but mehh, this was the game you'd call "Yeah we'll probably lose this one, even though it IS Cory Lidle" and whaddya know, we did. Mouthbreather looked like complete crapola out there, just like suddenly like had some sort of mental spazfest or something after the top of the third. As for Alvarez? Despite the numbers saying otherwise, he wasn't half bad. His control was there but he kept leaving his breaking balls up and it hurt him down the road. But he's still young and I reallly like this kid. People seem to perceive him as "that kid who wears his hat crooked" and don't realize that
he wears it that way for a reason. BTW, read that article, it's from September of 2004 but it's a great article on the kid, and the shit he went through in his younger years and the stuff he's doing now to help his parents out...*getting verklempt* Also, Wily Mo caught that ball dammit! Well also Seanez went 1.2 scoreless(I know, I'm shocked too)
I am however a little concerned about Jason Varitek, he's been looking liek total shit lately at the plate and they do say that when catchers decline they shit the bed real easily. I hope that's not what's going on with Jason Varitek. But then again, at the beginning of this season, I was concerned about Mike Timlin, but his 0.96 ERA is making me look awfully silly right now. The PawSox did great today winning 9-3 and for all you people wondering about Boomer and fretting about the suck of Mouthbreather, here's Wells' line
5.0 IP, 4 H, 2 ER, BB, 3 K
I think he's gonna be alright, folks. Also Sternie went 2-4 w/ a run scored, a stolen base, and a double too so yay him :)
And now it's totally looking mad creepy outside here and is starting to thunder. Yeah I'm staying in tonight. I hate to blow off my friend, but I REALLY dont' like to go out during storms. Oh and I hate the fact that I can't separate pitching stats between relievers and starters. Dammit I wanna know whose being the most asskickingest. Like how Timlin is stacking up vs other relievers and such....grrr. Oh and Bronson is leading the NL in ERA w/ 2.40....that's crazy but I'm proud of my boy! :D
Anyways my dogs are freaking the frig out so I must wrap this up
