(no subject)
Why yes, I am posting. Why so? Because why not? Not many people seem to use the LJ anymore including myself. I feel kinda bad because of it, but I just haven't had anything of substance to say and I do link my Twitter to here, which I'm sure annoys the 10 of you who still are buddied with me.
Today is my birthday. I'm 26. Damn, time flies. I don't feel like I'm 26 though. I feel a lot younger. But I guess that's just how I roll. I wanna do something tonight but most people in town are busy. Oh well, I guess that's how it rolls.
So how am I? I'm pretty good. I have a once a week writing gig for Patch.com which is basically a huge website which whiddles down to local newsages. Obviously, I'm a part of the Patch for my town. I write about dumb things I did in high school. I get $25/week for writing and it's not a glamourous gig but it's a writing outlet which helps a lot and I like telling goofy stories from yesteryear.
I entered the MLB.com Dream Job thing and while I doubt I'll get it, I'm proud of myself for actually entering and giving it a chance. Before, I would've been like "I'd never be good enough for that, other people know more about baseball than I do" and what not. But I just decided "Why the fuck not? If I don't win, that's okay. Plus I have a minor advantage with my degree and compy classes.
Still at CCRI taking classes for an Associates in Web Development. They're fun classes, I gotta say. Did well last semester and made the Dean's List. Hoping to keep that up.
The Red Sox are back in at Spring Training after breaking the bank big time. I was bummed about VMart leaving Boston for the Tigers, but they made up for it with Adrian Gonzalez and Carl Crawford. While I wasn't huge on Crawford beforehand, he's still got a chance to win me over. We'll see. I'm liking the team and they seem to have a quirkiness to them too that I dig.

I've also got a Tumblr but that Tumblr is used very sparingly. Hope you all are doing well and while I can't promise that I will be back again ASAP, I will at least try to check in a little more. :)
