Why?

I've done my back in. I'm 24 and I've done my back in. It took me twenty minutes to get off the bed this morning, though once I had crawled to the bathroom I did manage to pull myself up on the towel rail and stand! Woot, only half an hour to stand up ( Read more... )

I'm not leaning forward, I can't bend that way at all! I guess I am kinda leaning back, the doctor said not to sit I can help it, so I guess that's the sort of injury brought on by lifting things?

I've just finished the book I was reading (the last of the Twilight ones - I'm such an emo), so I'm re-reading Wee Free Men for the hundreth time now. Considering watching Firefly. Gah, most of the time I'd kill for nothing to do, but when it's forced on me I hate it!

The first one could be made out of angst, don't let it near sharp things, seriously. The first person perspective got on my nerves for a bit, but I got over it. The second one starts a little slow, can really say much without spoilers. I had 'can't sleep, must find out what happens' moments, but then, words are like crack to me, unless I'm reading something particularly terrible.

Did you become a 12 year old girl while I wasn't watching? You do realise the film is garbage? I bought the first book, but not started it yet as I'm reading Mrs Livsey's copy of His Dark Materials. The overarching plot sounds ok, but the film is ass Jabba.

I didn't hate the film all that much actually, though I did watch it with Vicky from work, so it's not like I was paying attention as she cannot shut up. All I remember is thinking 'is the 'Native American = Werewolves' thing supposed to be subtle, cos it's really not?', and then be very un-PC imagining wheelchair-wolf. I think if I watched it again I'd be more annoyed as I'd know which bits were wrong!

Ah, the worst kind of back pain. That's how I was when I slipped my disc - which I did picking up my daughter (she was about 2 at the time) and carrying her downstairs. I was completely immobilised - really, I blacked out after a couple of steps with the pain, I'll leave the complications that brought up to the imagination ( ... )
