He ate my heart

So it's done.  Torres is gone.  The only thing I'm thinking right now is BYE BITCH.  Enjoy getting booed by your new fans.

Other thoughts on this crazy transfer window:
  • Yay for getting Suarez.  I don't have beef with him over the whole handball incident, but I would like him to not pull any more Mike Tyson moves.  I'm hoping he will adjust to the EPL quickly and start kicking ass.
  • 35 million for Andy Carroll?  WTF?  This is straight panic spending.  35 mill.  I can't.  This guy is a total douchebag.  I can't respect anyone that beats women though his fans would say "allegedly!"  Guess that's good though, no player attachment, club loyalty only.  Thanks for teaching me valuable life lessons Torres.  I have to admit I am interested in seeing the Carroll/Suarez combo though.
  • Annoyed I had to do emergency wallpaper changes.  Work wallpaper now default windows; phone is now a snowman and a picture of a Beckham yahoo bus ad kugelkopf sent me.  Had to go through and delete all my Torres/LFC icons too.
  • Kit burning = insane.  Fedex that shit to me if  you don't want it.  Even though I can't even look at my Torres kit right now without bitchfacing, I'm not about to waste $50.  After some time when I don't give a shit anymore, I'll wear it for exercising, sleeping or for ~memories~.  Or maybe just wear a jacket with it so people only ever see the front.  A kit is a kit.
  • I will laugh so hard if Chelsea doesn't win CL and finish 5th this year.  I'm mean.
  • So glad it's all over.  Now I can do actual work instead of obsessively checking my phone every 30 minutes.

Finally, 5 question meme answers from lexia269 and parvani
Asked by lexia269 :

1. What five things would you like to achieve this year?
- Be less calculating.  I've been trying to work on this for a while, but it's hard.  I am risk adverse, cynical and rational.  Quite a bad combo for spontaneity or believing the best in people.
- Study for CPA exam.  I keep putting this off but I need to buckle down and start studying.  My goal is to pass in the next couple years so that doesn't give me much time.  Especially if I fail a bit first. lol
- Do more things I haven't done before.  Doesn't have to be anything big.  Just things like going to a shooting range, exploring caves, attending a monster truck show, etc.  Things that are accessible but just a little out of the ordinary.
- Learn how to sew.  It's kind of pathetic that last week I asked my mother to sew a button back on my jacket for me.  I just need to know the basics.  How to hem something and how to sew buttons back on.
- Find heels that are comfortable to walk in that don't look like they're made for 60 year olds.  I fear this task may be impossible.  I have weird shaped feet I think.

2. What would your ultimate football starting 11 be? Any players from any club, country, etc.
Tough.  Especially since I don't know that many players.
I'll go with:  David Villa, Ronaldo, Xabi, Messi, Ozil, Gerrard, Puyol, Rio, Pique, Sergio Ramos, Pepe Reina
Threw in Pepe instead of Iker because I love him and his optimism regarding LFC.

3. Talk about where you grew up.  Did you like living there? If not, where would you have wanted to live and why?
I grew up in Hong Kong.  I LOVE it there.  Maybe not the weather so much, but I love the atmosphere.  There's always something to do, there's great food, great shopping, great people.  Though having been away from there for so long now, and partially having grown up in the USA, I have to say though that I don't think I could go back to living there permanently.  I enjoy the more laid back style of my little suburb.  In Hong Kong, you wouldn't dare walk out into the street in your sweats even to go to 7-11 for some toilet paper, here I can wear sweats to a restaurant and no one would really care.  There's also more variety here.  I can honestly say that I've met all kinds of people living in America.  The only thing that would shock me is meeting an alien.  In HK, everyone is Chinese mostly.  Nothing wrong with that, just lacks a bit of spice sometimes.

4. If two characters from two different fandoms could meet and have a conversation, who would they be and what would they talk about?
Daria from Daria and Brian Kinney from QaF would be the most epic thing ever.  Only because I think Daria and Brian would be able to trade barbs with each other like pros.  The conversation would be simple.  Daria basically calling Brian out on what a douchebag he was 70% of the time, telling it like it is and not putting up with any of his narcissistic crap.

5. If we were to go an adventure, where would we go and what would we do?
Egg and toliet paper Torres' car and leave a flaming bag of dog shit on his doorstep.  How about we go to Qatar for the WC?  I think that would be exciting because there would be lots of do.  I've never been before so it would be an awesome cultural experience, and there would lots of football.  Also, since it's hot there, there should be no under armor so we'd get lots of yummy shirtless footballers. :D

Asked by parvani :

1. How did you get involved with fandom?
I didn't know Merlin existed until NBC started airing it.  I watched the first episode and thought it was interesting.  I thought that Gwen being a servant and eventual queen was a nice twist.  About five episodes in I thought, fuck Gwen/Arthur, it's obvious Merlin/Arthur are the otp here.  I knew I wasn't alone wearing the slash goggles and once again lj didn't let me down. :D

2. Who do you go for in football?
Wow.  If I had answered your questions when you asked I would have said without a doubt Fernando Torres.  Now I can't even say that name without feeling disappointed and slightly ragey.  Though if you meant which team I go for, then for sure it's Liverpool.  I love the fans, the pride, the passion.  I may or may not be a closet gooner.  As for NTs, I'm a fan of Spain and Germany.  I guess I should be rooting for USNT but I don't. Meh.  Donovan annoys me, and I just don't feel it.

3. Who are your favorite side characters?
Leon because he's so loyal and badass.  Gwaine because he's Merlin's friend and a bit of a rascal.

4. Het and femmeslash, yay or nay?
I honestly don't have much time to read fics anymore, so when I read, it's usually slash.  I have read het and femmeslash in the past, but in other fandoms.  Merlin specifically, I don't read any het or femmeslash only because Gwen/Arthur makes me gag and I haven't liked Morgana or Gwen since 2 seasons ago.  *Hangs head in shame*

5. Favorite food?
Still a toss up between durian and geoduck. :D

Am sick of waiting for lj to fix my tags so I'm going back to retag every entry I ever made.  Argh.  Tedious, but my anal retentive self wouldn't have it any other way.  Argh. Also need to change my fantastic but fragile tag. =|

fuck no, liverpool fc, that's what i'm talkin 'bout, fantastic but fragile, football, meeeeem, drinking the haterade, fuck yes
