Okay, so I'm writing this essay on whethere or not difference research should be allowed to continue, given that basically all it does is gloss over old prejudices with scientific fact and I am learning so much weird stuff!! Like Cuvier dissescted this woman that he'd known for years and had conversations with to see if there was any difference between his race and hers. So weird, and a museum in France actually had a cast of her body on display next to her skeleton until the 50's (I think) so that people could go and see if there actually was a difference! And they still have her female whatsits in a jar in the back room O_o. What is up with that? So anyway, I have 1900 words of this 2500 word essay done...nice, but I'm really worid that the prof is going to think my argument is too esentialist, but it's getting to be too late to worry about that now!!
Last weekend I went up to good old St.FX for their christmas ball. I got a new dress too and I actually looked quite pretty (well at least that's what Adrian says). For awhile I thought we were dancing quite well and that everyone must have been in awe of our awesome dancing. And then I realized that we were both somewhat sloshed. Ah well, unfortunalty it happens.
Tonight I am going to midnight madness at the mall. It is going to be consumer craziness!!
ON a completley different note, I wonder how to make my journal all pretty?
