ARGH!!!
Research Proposals! Pah!
I have finally started my research proposal. I'm not very happy. (By started, I mean started research, not actually writing). I'm actually looking forward to the writing part. That will be easy. It's only 2000 words, and I'm good at writing. What I'm not good at doing is going on Ovid and finding relevant research papers and then READING them all... Why?! Why so much reading...
We have a list of starting papers, 8 of them I think, and we have to choose one and find something that we would like to imporve on it, and then write our proposal of how we would do it ourselvs. But whatever we want to change/add, we have to find literature to prove that what we want to do will actually have any effect.
So at the moment I'm trying to find something that says that gender has something to do with eating behaviour and hedonic thoughts, but I type in gender and all I've found so far are literature about how ethnicity affects eating behaviour... That's lovely, but I really did want to know about gender...
So now I'm taking a break. I will use the ethnicity stuff. These search engines are so picky that you have to put exactly wht you want, and what I want isn't easy to put into a few search words. (other than the gender thing, I'm not putting my big idea here, because it is the internet... and there are other members of the class on the internet...)
Maybe pedantic, but I don't want to have any problems, I'm so sick of this thing already. It's due in on Tuesday.
In other news, I bought lemon scented socks the other day! Lacey bought sea mist scented. They're contored to your feet, left and right, and they're so comfortable.
I'm procrastinating.
I've boycotted chocolate until I finish my proposal. Hopefully that'll encourage me to finish on Sunday. It will be possible for me to do that if I get all my research done tomorrow.
I wish I didn't leave everything off for so long.
