first off- CONGRATULATIONS TO LEELA FROM HERNANDO!!!!!STATE CHAMP IN THE 800!
i'm so happy for her, she's so sweet and nice. so now i have to find a way to call her
in other news, my weekend has been decent, other than the fact that once again i'm sick...i really don't like being sick, its worse than last weekend in that, it hurts to swallow, and my nose is really blocked up, and my ears hurt. but nyquil has helped. it was the worst on friday, when i went to the swim-a-thon. i had fun, but it was kinda boring.
then yesterday was work, and today, more of the same. hopefully nobody will show up so i can do some studying for AP's.
anyways, thursday was regionals. i made it to state in the 4x800 and the 800. i'm so nervous and excited. i've never made it to state in anything on my own before, so i was excited. but i really want the team to do well. so this week is hard work, so we can hopefully medal in the 4x8. i really want to medal.
the 4x4 was disappointing-i was so happy after the 800, but that happiness definitely went away after the 4x4. i ran a 1:04 split. 1 second off my pr. but i wanted so bad for tara to make it in the 4x4---she had a rough day. but with my time being a little slow, and maryann's being even slower we didn't make it. it was heart-breaking. i don't know what else i could've done. i don't think i could've done anything else. but ms.b kept going on and on to tara about how the first half of the relay should've done more. and we should've--but from the very beginning we knew i would/should be the slowest leg,and the others would have to make up for it. i ran what i've normally run, around a 1:04-1:05--i've only done 1:03 once. it was just upsetting, because i don't think i could've done more.
regionals just wasn't a good experience overall i guess...disappointments all around---however, i want to congratulate all who made it there because it ain't easy to get there, so few of us did. and i especially want to congratulate the guys 4x8 (nick,dustin,wayne,joe), shaneatha (shot put), jillian (mile and 4x8), and the rest of our 4x8=kelly and tara
