an open letter the mars volta fans...
dear mars volta fans,
yes, they are awesome, yes their music is cool, yes omar rodriguez has a way cool 'fro and glasses. but seriously, if you like the mars volta, do yourself a favor and go pick up an at the drive in album. At the Drive-In is the group that spawned the mars volta, and sparta, and i think one of their former members is in the faint?? anyway, they're REALLY good, but many people have only heard of them and possibly the song "one armed scissor", which is a shame, because they are great. so if you like the mars volta and sparta and think that the mars volta is just the coolest and most original thing since sliced bread, do yourself a favor and get an At the Drive-In album, maybe The Relationship of Command. i think you'll be pleasantly suprised...
yea, been wanting to say that for a while because including me, i only know two people who like at the drive-in. anyway, life's kinda boring, dropped out of soccer after two days because i hate competetive sports, and running. only, now my parents say that i need to find an activity and a "way to focus" my energy, because if i don't, apparently that's a one way ticket to drug use...yeah. i was thinking of starting a school paper type thing, eh?? any ideas??

oh, ps., another really awesome band is Children of Bodom. yes, they are metal, which i know 90% of people don't like, but they're actually one of the only metal bands i like myself. their guitarist is amazing (i know nobody but me cares about this stuff), and they've got a keyboardist, how hardcore is that?!?! either way, listen to something off of the Follow the Reaper album, give it chance.
