Two small crystal glasses were shoved in front of them. One containing bloody-red liquid, the other one containing transparent-purple liquid.
"The strongest poison, and the memory-modification potion. These are your punishment," said the judge, "For both of you have broken the universe's rule by falling in love with each other, each of you should choose one of these punishments: to die, or to forget. I won't tell which one is which potion. You choose yourself. Now, Devil, you choose first."
Sho hesitated for a moment, before then stretched his hand to take one of the glass.
"No!" Jun struggled at his place, trying to break the chain tied around his wrists and his white wings, "Sho-san, don't choose! We're not guilty! We're not supposed to be punished like this!"
Sho turned to stare at Jun. His beloved angel really looked miserable now, with those dark bruises all over his body. There was even a track of dried blood on the corner of the angel's lips, and his pair of white wings were now not that white anymore, because spots of red had dirtied them.
Actually Sho didn't want to choose either. But if he didn't do what they told him to do, Sho knew that they would do bad things to Jun again. Sho just couldn't take it anymore, to see his beloved angel being tortured more than this in front of him.
"Drink!" the judge commanded in a cold tone.
"Sho-san, don't!" Jun pulled himself with full force, trying to break free. But then a big guard came to give a hard punch on his stomach, making him stop.
"Stop," Sho shook his head, starting to sob. This view really hurt his heart. Jun sprawled on the ground, with pained expression on his face. "Please, stop hitting him. I'll do whatever you want me to do."
"Sh-- Sho-san... Don't..." Jun stared at him helplessly, coughing out blood.
"Jun-kun, I'm sorry," Sho bit his lower lip, "I just don't want to see you suffer anymore. Let's just give an end to all of this..."
Sho raised his glass, then in one gulp, he finished the transparent-purple potion. He could hear Jun's desperate sobs on the background, but now, it looked like the angel's voice was coming from faraway for him.
The now-empty crystal glass slipped from his hand, and broke into pieces when it hit the solid ground. The potion burned Sho's mouth and throat, and soon, the hot sensation spread to all over his body fast. Sho fell to the ground, panting and twitching, gasping for fresh air. He felt his lungs dried, and his heart beat slower, and slower, and slower...
Sho turned his head to see Jun for the very last time before the unconsciousness taking him away. He could see four big guards were trying to force the angel to drink the red potion.
"J--Jun-kun, I... I love y--"

Sho sat bolt up right on his bed, with cold sweat covering his body.
A nightmare. The same nightmare that always haunting him since who-knows-when.
He steadied his breath again, and slowly lay back down to his bed. For a moment, Sho just lay there in the darkness, staring at the hospital room's ceiling with a blank gaze. Then suddenly he felt thirsty. So then, Sho decided to get out for a while to buy some tea from the vending machine.
Sho took his crutch, then teetered out from his room, to the hospital's cafetaria where the vending machine was. He broke his right leg in a car accident three days ago, that's why he needed crutch to help him walk.
Sho stopped in front of the humming vending machine, then took his coins out. However, when he had just about to put the last coin inside the machine, his hand slipped, and he dropped the coin.
The ten-yen coin hit the floor with a loud jingle that echoed through the night inside the empty cafetaria. Then it rolled and disappeared under the vending machine.
Sho let out a frustrated groan.
That's great. Now he had either to bend down to retrieve the bloody coin from under the machine, or to go back to his room to take another coin from his wallet. But his room was a little bit far from the cafetaria, and Sho obviously did not plan to take another journey back and forth from the cafetaria to his room, to the cafetaria, and to his room again. Not with that troublesome crutch.
So then, he decided to choose the first option. Sho was confused for a moment; how to bend down with his leg being thickly plastered like that?
As he was struggling to find a way to be able to take his coin back, suddenly, there was someone coming from behind him. A man, with a long white coat.
The man bent down and reached under the vending machine. A couple of seconds later, he straightened his body, and offered the ten-yen coin in front of Sho's nose.
"Here you are," the man said.
Doctor Matsumoto Jun, Sho read from the name tag hanging on the man's pocket.
For a moment, Sho froze at his place. A great nostalgic feeling flooded him up. He just stood up there, staring at doctor Matsumoto's face without blinking.
He didn't change at all; those pair of transparent-brown eyes, which used to shower Sho with warm and loving gaze. That pointed nose, that Sho used to love very much. Those thin and inviting lips, which Sho used to kiss passionately, and with full of affection. And that cute small mole under his lips...
Now that Jun was standing there, right in front of him, Sho had just realized, that he'd been missing this man so badly, he didn't know what to say. His chest was stuffed with both happiness and pain.
He felt like crying. He felt like jumping and hugging Jun right then and there. However, of course, he couldn't do that. He mustn't. This Jun was no longer the angel who loved him from their previous life. This Jun was the Jun who had forgotten about Sho...
"Ah," Sho began to speak, and he noticed, that his voice suddenly sounded hoarse and weird, for he was trying so hard to hold back his tears, "Thank you, er-- doctor Matsumoto."
Jun smiled. The same angelic smile like the one he had before. It was calming and it brought peace to Sho's heart.
"You're welcome," he said, then started to walk away.
Sho let out a bitter sigh, "White always suits you the best, huh..."
"Eh?" Jun turned to throw a questioning look towards Sho, "Did you say something?"
"Ah, no. Nothing," Sho shook his head, smiling. He quickly turned to the vending machine, finished his shopping, then took the canned tea out from the cafetaria in a rush.
Jun raised his brows over Sho's strange behavior, then shrugged, "Have a good night sleep, and I hope you'll get better soon, sir," he said to Sho's back.
Sho didn't answer. He just kept walking through the empty corridor, trying to reach his room as fast as possible, because now tears had started to stream down his cheeks. Thoughts ran through his head, and memories about their previous life--their previous happy life, when they still had each-other--had turned into a sharp blade, which sliced Sho's heart into pieces.
By the time he reached his room's door, Sho's feeling had calmed down a bit.
Well, at least he's not the one to feel the suffer from being forgotten..., he thought. Then he wiped his tears, and wore a bitter smile on his face, as he got into his room.
Though it's not with me, I hope you can find your happy ending this time, Jun-kun...

A/N: Wheeeeeeeeeeee!! I finally could find time (and energy) to write again! \(´▽`)/
My works are kind of getting too crowded recently. Almost no free time left to write (because I'll directly fall asleep once my head touch my pillow, every night). That's why we're very late in updating this project. Sorry! >.<
Dear mabopiman, sorry for making you wait >.<
Hope after this, this project could go on smoothly :D
And now, back to the story... How is it? :o
My brain was still not-so-connected when I wrote this, so I'm not really confident, whether I could turned what I want to tell into proper words >.<
I hope this story is not confusing >.<
