Saturday Night outing with Amanda (our new friend from Comic-Con) was great. Amanda is great.
Had dinner in an Italian restaurant I love, then went to a "standard" night club, from the kind that plays house music, for the second time in my life (it's not my preferred style of music, as you all know very well). But lots of guys came on to me and I got good drunk, which made the experience very very fun.
Notable is the fact that it wasn't too crowded, and smoking was strictly prohibited in-doors, so I didn't have to wash my hair 10 times before going to sleep. Also notable is the fact that alcohol is not allowed after 2am. Not only not sold - the security people actually came to us just before 2 and asked me to finish my drink quickly. It means that most night clubs close at 1:30am-2:am (not the one from last night, thank god), and clubbing begins in reasonable hours.
On the way there, we passed the famous night club "The Viper Room" on the Sunset Strip, and I realized that River Phoenix died there back in 1993 (can't believe I remembered), and took me straight back to when I was 12 and mourning for weeks and weeks for his death. It's a very intense memory for me.
Well, back to the happy stuff -
there's pictures!
