#1 intake pushrod disassembled itself. Stud by #4 exhaust valve, nut by #2 exhaust valve. Tiny washer, ???. Car ran for about 15 miles, mixed highway/city driving, like this. No damage to threads, think everything should run fine. Reassembled pushrod to rocker arm after much profanity.

If it weren't for Roommate losing the #1 pushrod locking nut into the brake cylinder heat shield, then over the edge and into oblivion with a too-long magnetic-tipped screwdriver extension, I'd have everything buttoned back up by now.

Her lost nut, her need to get to work, her problem to replace. I've looked, and I've done everything else. Twice. Today.

How and why it disassembled itself, I don't know, but a pushrod randomly banging into the intake rocker would do a great job of explaining why #1 wasn't getting much combustion done AND why it was making a noise like the end of the world. With luck the pushrod's not bent, I didn't pull it (no clearance without taking the rocker arm assembly off, and those are the cylinder head bolts, and I don't HAVE a new gasket, and if I take off the fucking cylinder heat it's not going to be at 3 in the fucking morning.

I swear I was happier when I was ignorant of this stuff.
