Pilot's weekdays: Updates

Aug 31, 2015 23:05

Hello everyone, small update, news and short story from my side of "cockpit door".
First of all. I've decided to continue to write my blog in English because of two reasons. Firstly, I want to improve my writing skill (fell free to correct me and show my mistakes). Secondly it's because of that I don't want to change the status of my blog to friends only, but I want to keep strangers and officials off my stories about flights.
So, as i mentioned before, If you feel worry about your pilot future. If everyone in CAA wants to have you graduated from the domestic aeronautical college. If you hear something like - I don't give a shit that you have a previous experience, you have to study from 0 to 100, full time, 2 years and 10 months long. Congrats!!! You're happened to be a pilot in Russia, be ready to fight for your rights.
My last visit to FSDO was as same as usual. I wanted to pass a CPL written exam.

- Hello ma'am, I wanna pass a CPL written exam today.
- Ok, where are your documents?
- Here they are, this is my commercial pilot license, this is a validation of my CPL issued by Russian CAA, this is my local and international passports.
- ????
- Is this not enough?
- No!!! Where is your russian diploma? Did you study in Russia? This is not documents for me.
- But ma'am excuse me, I've got a CPL and a validation of my CPL issued by CAA, this is official documets. I've met all requirements. FAR don't say anything about diploma, especially that I have to study in the state college to be a pilot. There're requirements only about flight time. I'm a pilot right now!!! Please, look at your documents, there is nothing about diploma.
- Don't waste my time, get outta here.
=

Paradoxically, for her opinion I cannot get a rus CPL without the diploma issued by russian pilot college, but I can legally be a pilot and fly with FAA CPL and validation of it. So I don't give up and keep trying to get a russian pilot licence.
Now I've packed my bag and gonna fly to employer's base for my duty. My first days as an airlyne pilot about to begin!!!
Stay tune.
