So here's the first official part of my report. This part of the report will be mostly text at the beginning with a picspam following in the end. It seems I concentrated more on talking with the guests than taking photos but there are already so many great photos around that I guess it doesn't matter. The pics are clickable for larger.

Oh, god. That's my worst nightmare and the main reason I doubt I'll ever attend a con :( My condolences.

I'm glad the dinner did turn out better for you in the end. It actually ended quite well for many of us :)
If you made the list, it was a short visit :)

I just love it how relaxed he sounds to have been at the end of the dinner.

I've been wavering back & forth about what to think about the whole con thing. Isn't it always going to disappoint to a certain degree (especially if one doesn't know any of the others fans and thus can't use the con as a reunion)? It's a catch-22, I guess: the people running it need to raise as much $$ as possible so they charge a lot and try to get tons of people to come - the problem with that, it seems to me, is that there are just too many people and very little time with the guys, which makes people grumpy because they shelled out some serious bucks :-/
Plus this: This person solved the issue by getting up and walking to business class to see if it was him. I could see her leaning down and talking with someone, so that pretty much told me that it was him and she confirmed it when she came back. She told me that it was Gale and Scott sitting there but she also said, I think, that Peter wasn't there. I do have to say that I don’t think ( ... )

You do have a point that it's probably impossible to arrange a big convention absolutely everyone would be happy with. I do have to give Zarata credit that most of the stuff in the convention was okay. There were just a few things that really bugged me (more on those later) and made me feel like I wasn't quite getting what I had paid for. Of course that's just my experience.
I couldn't believe my eyes when she marched there to talk with them. That is so overstepping limits. I do feel it was okay for me to say hi to them at the museum when I happened across them but that was just a passing hello and I left it at that. I don't know if they were mobbed at the museum since there were quite a few people from the convention there but I really do hope they weren't. At least at the Close Up they all said they had enjoyed the museum so I'd guess they were left quite well in peace.

The museum is a totally different situation. They had to know they'd encounter con-goers and a simple hello is not weird and stalker-ish.

I adore the close up pic of Gale you posted... that's the first pic I see of him where I actually am not frustrated by the beard! Lovely smile, too. Randy looks sooooo pretty :)
And I have to admit: your watermark gave me a chuckle *g* Oh how I like being in the know *g*
*loves you*

Randy seems to have avoided my camera quite well for most of the time since I didn't have as many pics of him as the others. Or maybe it was that I was talking with him so often that didn't have chances to take pics. But yes, looking pretty.
I actually would have liked the watermark to be a bit bigger but the program I used wouldn't allow the size to be changed. Now you can't really see it unless you click the pics bigger.
