If only I had a Southern Accent...

Just got back in this morning from WVA to visit family. Came back, ate a the local Italian place with my cousin, then hurried home to catch True Blood. I keep forgetting it's on Sundays. I actually didn't think I'd like the show at all. The first few episodes I just watched them with E because...well, pathetically, I just like sitting with him on the sofa and it happened to be on.

But now it's getting good. I won't write anything nor do a cut out of sheer laziness, but I am suddenly highly intrigued by the show. Without trying to spoil anything, though, it's similar to Twilight and every other vampire story out there. The only difference is that vampires are out in the open and dealing with prejudice America. It's a very interesting cultural study with a egocentric twist. It's almost like calling us out for the sake of calling us out. Just watch it.

Also this weekend we had a mini-Star Wars marathon. E's friend stopped by and we put on Episode III since he had never seen it. Jesus I forgot how horrific it was. Now, guilty, I am one of those people who will sit there and talk through a movie. I never used to, and if you pay money to see it I will not waste your cash, but there are times it is involuntary. Case in point: every scene with "Annie" (WTF, seriously?) and Amadallabumafu I almost instantly started with the gagging noises. Like, every damn scene was like trying to enjoy having your eyes burned out of their sockets. I couldn't help but wonder what was going on in Natalie Portman and Ewan McGregor's heads while doing those horrendous lines. They did they best they could with horrible dialogue. And Hayden Christenson...well...well. That's all I can say. Damn I hate George Lucas.

Don't even get me started on how he massacred my childhood with that Crystal Skull crap.

The End.
