Hey all, sorry I havent been blogging, there seems to be nothing for me to blog about! But now that I'm home and bored, I decided to pop by.
Met up with Janice yesterday to go to Tras Street for our virgin BW experience! (: It was intimidating and scary to say the least, but really, I'm quite glad we did it. Painful but quite shiok. HAHA. It's an experience after all.
Drove down to Tras Street and was walking down the rows of shophouses before we finally found the place. The place was like any other spa, with dimly lit wooden parquet floorboards and soft music playing the the background. Scents of aroma oils and occasional sounds of running water and chirping birds from the soundtrack. It felt like a totally different retreat as compared to the rundown old shophouses along Tanjong Pagar.
Anyway, we were briefed about the procedure and how we should TRUST and BELIEVE in the therapist, the importance of letting loose of all worries and inhibitions, and fully experiencing the process. We changed into our silk paisley print robes and started. LOL it seemed like a mighty long time, but in around an hour it was all done!

Jan and I were saying how we were all perspiring during the process and I really did perspire. I don't know how some people in the forum said they could fall asleep while doing it.. Impossible can. Its ticklish, painful at times, and just really.... not something you can fall asleep over. But all in all it was a fun experience with twinnie.
Met my aunt after that for lunch at Funan where they collected their free Samsung flat screen LCD TV, and was just talking to my aunt about personal grooming such as eyebrow trimming, facials, manicures and pedicures, waxing etc. And really, come to think of it, every form of grooming requires you to do it at least once a month for "optimal results" and each treatment can cost up to $60. That's hell lots of money! My aunt does mani and pedi quite often although I don't because its a waste of money considering I do sports, but for the sake of it, let's see how much we'll spend if we do our personal grooming every month conscientiously.
Let's count. On a monthly basis,
Manicure - $25
Pedicure - $30
Waxing - $60 (that's excluding upper lip, legs, arms, fingers even TOES that some girls indulge in)
Facial - $50
That's already $165 per month and that's excluding like, hair treatments and all. Haha without even noticing it sometimes, thats how money disappears.
I better make sure I take note of my expenditure better..
Oh well, mummy's pretty excited about next week's xmas cookout. She's constantly asking my aunt what she should cook, and etc etc... and she went to the market this morning to buy loads of drinks and stuff..
: Mummy, the cookout's next week. What for you buy the drinks so early?
: Aiya, buy earlier never mind what... Anyway I can't drive out to buy next week cos the car's not available...
: Can ask me to buy what.. You buy now, sure finish by next week one, especially when the boys are watching soccer tonight.
