Whoa. So so tough today. It was drizzly and cold so we warmed up with 200 jumping jacks and then jumped with a jump rope for 5 minutes. Not that bad. But we’re learning all these combination of punches and kicks and we were working on them pretty constantly so it got tiring. Even blocking is tiring- starts to grate on your arms after a while. But worst of all was that every time we switched our line ups we had to do either 15 push ups (not the girl kind- only our hands and feet were allowed to touch the floor) or these dip things (there was a high bench we had to stand next to and face away from. Grasped the edge of the bench with our hands and stretched our feet and legs in front of us so all our weight was on our arms and do push up type things that way. If that makes sense. They’re goddamn difficult). So I think we ended up doing 6 or 7 sets EACH. 15 at a time. My poor arms are like jelly right now- weightlifting hardly seems plausible tomorrow. Heh. We didn’t get to abs today because we went through so much other stuff, so that kind of sucked, but push ups really work your abs too so it’s all good. Plus I got a copy of pilates on dvd from the library last night and had b burn it for my so now I can do some of that in the livingroom where there’s actually room! Whoo-hoo. (I have pilates on video but the only vcr is in my room, which is about 3 feet long and 2 feet across. Heh.)
My partner says my kicks are way more powerful than last time. I think she’s right- they felt much more powerful. And oh yeah. My boobs are totally shrinking- I could really tell today. And for my purposes this is a good thing so I was quite pleased about that.
