Quick rant on the republican congress pressuring online companies to propagate pro republican and conservative propaganda. Yeah online companies have given in to the orange idiot in the white house and his congressional enablers. They did this under the guise of not being fairly represented. The whole point of a public company is to do what it wants with itself.
The algorithms are based on things you like and therefore will be suggested to you in varying degrees based on what it thinks you want to see. I search furry vids, therefore I am given suggestions of other furry videos. Case closed? No. I've been getting really stupid videos about middle ground in vaccine wars, and videos seeming to attempt to make some conservatives look better.
Well, I don't take that bait. Because I don't do propaganda. Keep suggesting I watch videos I never wanted to see. I go to youtube to watch what I want, not what shady entities want me to see. I do this in my downtime, so respect my wish to see entertaining content at the end of the day. When I get off work - and put my feet up after that hard work - from earning money to put food on the table.
