internal monologue
So I'm probably going to be hired at this place I interviewed with the other day. Yeah, the morning I was puking. Funny how that goes.
It's really far away, though. It's a good opportunity but getting there & back will be a huge pain. If I had a car, it would be about 45 minutes each way. Only I don't have one and I'm not sure I want one. Cars are just an extra expense to me. But maybe I could just get an old clunker to get me there and back? It would have to be a really cheap-ass clunker since I'm broke right now -- and those kinda clunkers I wouldn't really trust, ya know? Maybe I'll get lucky & find a dirt-cheap car that runs decently being sold around here, but that seems like a lot to hope for.
If they offer me the job (and I take it) it might open up a chance to move back into the city. Granted, I'd be on the fringes of it, but I'd still be there. Plus it would reduce my travel time. But I have a pretty sweet deal here at the moment; I doubt I'll ever get this much for this price anywhere else.

I guess I'll find out tomorrow if it's worth it to think about this any further.
