I would type, but I am le tired. I am not even energetic enough to make a Various Variouses post. So instead this is going to be a Blah Blahs post: ie, where Pico just blithers a few sentences about various unrelated topics at you until you rolls yer eyeses and goes away.

I feel like i should have to justify why I don't like the Windup Girl. I'll make a lovely long post about it sometime, when I have more energy, but in summary: 1) I don't like reading books about asshole Expat Squads (as I gets enuff of those IRL); 2) zero female characters who aren't sexualized/violenced against; 3) god this prose is purple; 4) nobody in the book wants to be in the place where they are, and they're all unhappy, jaded, unprincipled, and make no efforts to be anything but. And excuse me for breathing, but I prefer characters who have some positive thoguhts/dreams/ideals/ideas/passion/excitement/etc. Also, I like it when people Just (try to) Be Better.
So there's a book I'm not going to slog through anymore.

The trip was great and awesome and I can't get over those mountains. I loved it to bits. But it made me think home, and I'm trying much to re-segue into "two and a half more months" mode without going all Mood.

I've been watching some classics for the first time. Terminator. Beverly Hills Cop. Karate Kid. Funny how I missed all these growing up. (With the last one - kind of glad I did.)
Was delighted at Arnie in Terminator - he looks like he's having loads of fun there. Also, with that entrance scene - godDAMN that man was fucking BUILT. Go him!

I have been everlastingly busy and everlastingly tired. So tired that I come back from a day full of classes classes studying classes that I just. I turn on a movie and watch it and zone out, then turn on the Skype and talk to friends and fambly. It's been so unbelievably full. Good-full - I do get a lot done, and I haven't (luckily) had time for Mood, but goddamn. What is Rest And Relaxation? What is The Absence Of Stress? What is A Clear Schedule? I don't even know anymore.

Got my first contact from Crazylady in over a month - complaints about classes, as per - and, after I responded to her suggestion that we meet with "I'm available Sunday afternoon", she did indeed email me a full cake of crazy. Look for more lulz from that corner in upcoming posts!

I've ben having story ideas floating at me frum all sides, but whenever I sit me down to write 'em out, or even consider said action, they all fright like deer when you move your toe in the woods.
Fucking story-ideas, scared of my toe.

It's gotten cold in Harbin. Let me tell you the long and thrilling story of how it got cold:
October 10th: breezy, balmy, sunny, 50-60 degrees.
October 11th: clouded, rainy, grey, 30-40 degrees.
October 12th: sunny, bright, cheerful, 30-40 degrees.
Thenk you, Ice City, for being so decided in your endeavours. I am glad to see that you do not regret your choice. It is truly a joy to behold such unfickleness.
