Clearer lungs for a clearer day

... at least here's hoping.

I did indeed have acupuncture on Thursday and he did calm down the adrenalin and I did have a good night's sleep.  In fact, I was still yawning as I went off to work, having spent the morning finding how comfy the couch was instead of eating breakfast.  Unfortunately it didn't last (or maybe lasted too well) and I spent most of the weekend not doing much.  Just before I went off to vampire I got a burst of movement and did some website updates, had a cracking vampire game and came home.  Unusually, despite a promotion, my head was actually -less- spinning with ideas than usual and I thought it would be easy to get off to sleep, but no.  Eventually at 3am I turned around and managed to get myself into some kind of no-mind trance and sailed off to sleep, but it was still a restless night.

So this morning I came to the only outstanding conclusion, that there was stuff in my lungs restricting my breathing. I used the comfy couch once more and did some physio*. Some clear lungs and an afternoon of good work means that I've managed to do almost 3 hours of writing (sadly, mostly for vampire... still, if I can do that then I can do research tomorrow).

* For those of you who think of physio either as stretching or percussion, this is autogenic drainage: targeted, controlled breathing that gently moves the blockage through the longs with the minimum of coughing. Although in this case it was helped by some herbs from the day before (no.21, to expand the chi) and, I think, just wanting things to move.

chinese herbs, cystic fibrosis, acupuncture
