It surprises me to think that one Constable Ichabod Crane is braver than he seems.
We found the tree, as I have mentioned before, a beautifully dreadful thing, and inside were the heads. Also inside, was something I had never seen--the Hessian himself. He sprang out on his mighty black horse and galloped away and into the woods.
