..There was a lot of blood. Not sap. ...Blood. It is...well...it is hard to describe the Tree of the Dead. It IS rather beautiful in its form, bewitching, emphasizing the witch part, but....it IS haunting...and...inside there were...
Heads. ...So many heads. It seemed that Ichabod was about to gag when he found them, he was splattered with blood...it was...almost amusing. But horrific. Yes. Horrific. I was about to gag as well..
And one of the heads was of Jonathan Masbath, Young Masbath's father. The poor boy!! Ichabod did not even try to comfort him, his head stuck in the case, filled with sleuth-induced thoughts! I managed to give Young Masbath some reassuring comfort, but I am still a bit angry at Ichabod...I confronted him at the gravesite, while he was digging, but I have no idea if he even acknowledged the problem. I know he is a scientist, but he is human. And so are we all. Humans feel pain. Poor Young Masbath...I think I might go see him soon, just to bring by some hot chocolate or tea...
I can only wonder what can be more important to Ichabod: Love or science?
