A Second Event. (Involving games and rain)
We won, again! We even managed to do it without RG III, and that's put a real spring in everyone's step. Or, it would have, except for the fact that from about 5:45 until 5 minutes into the second quarter, it poured. For the band, it had been raining since 2:45, when the skies had opened up, and we found out that the raincoats they gave us only do so much before they soak through. And that even putting your instrument up doesn't mean it won't get wet.
Before the game, today was nice. I slept in, got a hot shower, and just chilled. Now I'm not sleeping, and literally chilled. I hope my feet thaw out soon.
Besides the cold, and the wet, and the wet, and the nasty wet, the game was good. We won, though not by as large a margin as last week, and the dance show went over spectacularly well. We just got out there on the field and had fun, even though it was trying to decide whether it wanted to pour again, or not.
It didn't rain the whole second half, thank goodness. I never realized how heavy wet wool is before tonight. I swear I had an extra 5 pounds hanging off me in the cape alone. But all that water is now hanging on the back of a door in my room.
I need to brew some tea to warm me up. I'm a little warmer, but it's still really cold. I need to get to a grocery store at some point tomorrow, if just to buy milk and gatorade (or the heb brand, which tastes the same but cheaper). And applesauce. Always need applesauce.
I think I may wrap this up early tonight, and try to draw a new comic about the rain.
That or watch some Who. I can't decide.
