We watched "The Pandorica Opens" last night.
So, I'm assuming that I just wasn't paying attention to Van Gogh's special gift? Because he didn't strike me as the prophetic type. Also, how did the Royal Collection get where it was? Was it actually on the space station? It was after Liz Ten met the Doctor...
Okay, so do you think that they just had extra time to perfect the Autons? (That's what they're called, right?) Because in season 1 episode 1, plastic!Mickey didn't look enough like real!Mickey to be quite believable. And the Doctor could stick a cork in his eye. I mean his forehead.
You'd think someone would have noticed. Smelled it, maybe.
Anyway. There were a couple things I liked.
When Rory asks Amy where she got the blanket and she is like, "does it matter?" Because that's a shadow of the reaction she actually would've had to Rory's possessiveness. I've been trying to think a lot lately, trying to look for clues to how Amy's character changed when Rory wasn't there to shape it, and I guess I've come to the conclusion that "Her life just doesn't make sense." Her personality, her history was still shaped by Rory, even though she couldn't remember him. Good thing, too.
Good job with the freaky Cyber head. It was scary.
Well, hmm. It's rather too bad that my brother was so anxious to see the new one because we have to wait until next Monday to see the finale.
But I guess we'll figure out if they manage to save the world on Saturday. 26 June 2010. If we're still around to watch it, we'll know.
