Katie's bugging me to update, so I suppose I could catch you all up on a few things.
Last night I saw Brokeback Mountain again, only this time with mi madre. I won't say anymore about the movie since you all are well-aquainted with my love for it (and heck yes, it won Golden Globes!). It was nice spending time with my mom. We went out to Olive Garden before the movie, and I actually got a meal. I was impressed. I usually try to make some customized order of plain pasta (Katie!), but I ordered the Shrimp Primavera, and was quite pleased with it. Baby steps =)
Thursday night I went out with my dad to TGI Fridays is which I tried that 3 course meal thing. Very cool, though I still don't like Cheesecake. Man, I need to eat dinner at home one of these days...Oh well. Can't tonight because I'm going to Heather's party at Margaritaville. Woot. Reminds me of Halloween Horror Nights for some reason when Jaime, Ben, and I were waiting for Eric. I think we sat across from there, and while me and Jaime were arguing about JuJuBees, Ben rolled down a hill. Boys =P.
Hmmm...interesting things to update on. Well, I left school early on Thursday. I was tired and bummed out, and we weren't doing anything in our classes, so yeah, my mom called and let me sign out. That was nice. I made mac and cheese and watched the end of The Constant Gardiner. That was supposed to be really good, and I guess it was, but for me it was more political than anyone else.
Main message of the movie: The world is doing a lot of bad things to the people in Africa that should change, but if you find out about it, people in high places will kill you.
After watching the movie I slept for most of the afternoon. I know, how exciting.
Last weekend Sarah and I exchanged boxes (finally!). Mine is so beautiful. It's blue with my letters in silver, and little blue jewels on it =) I'll have to take a picture one of these days. Sarah seemed to like her box, too, so I was happy and felt accomplished. We went to TuTu Tango for dinner, and then saw Tristan and Isolde, which was a fairly good movie. I liked the character of the King. He had that whole innocent bystander aspect, and he really gave up everything he cared about for what he knew was right. The lovers to me were mostly annoying. Screw yourselves, don't screw other people over =P
Steve's party was fun. We watched most of Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I had seen it before in the theater of all places, but I had forgotten some of it. That's definetely a crazy movie. I talked with everyone and caught up with the people I don't see to often, which was nice. I tried to play Super Smash Brothers with Mike and Asef, but was begging them not to kill me off in the end.
::Asef's character dies::
Me: I'm not the first one to die? Wow!
Asef: YOU TOLD US NOT TO KILL YOU!
Me: Oh yeah...
I left the party before they all went to Rocky Horror because I didn't feel like going, and I was pretty tired. Apparently everyone had a lot of fun, and there was flashing involved somehow in all of that, lol.
The kids are keeping me on my toes outside. Somehow it always lands on me to come up with a new game. What ever happened to freeze tag? I took three of the kids out for smoothies last weekend, and then took them to the park. Since one of them needed a car seat I had to take one of the family vans on the street. Yes, I have now driven a mini-van. Wow, I am sooooo a soccer mom =D
Ok, I think that is enough updating for awhile. Have a fun weekend!
