Happy Birthday to me!!!
So it's been forever since I've updated and I promised Chrissy I would, so here it is haha. Lately all I've been doing is Falsettos. This show is freakin' amazing. Like it's one of those life changing shows and every night I play, the last song just breaks my heart. If you've never seen the show, any chance you get to see it, you need to. I wish that I could explain it, but seriously there aren't words that could do it justice. The cast is amazing and it's been a lot of fun and hard work. It's made me realize a lot of things that I need to work on in my music directing. I'm just so happy that I got to work on this piece, it's a show that I will always remember. Tonight my long lost friend Constance came to see it and it was cool to get to hang out with her. I went to O'Charleys (imagine that) with her and Mike and it was nice just chatting.
School has been going fine. I like my classes actually. I love not having piano lessons, it's sooooo much more stress free now. I also have ballroom dancing, which is sooo much fun. It's just nice to go to school and have fun. I have Tuesdays and Thursdays off, so it's nice to have some time to myself away from school. I'm still so done with U of L, but there will be more on that in the months to come as I get closer to graduation. P.S. can't believe that I'm getting ready to graduate. Ahhhh!!!
Lately I've become obsessed Elton John. Like it's seriously all I listen to. I decided that since I'm such a big fan of his, that I need to work on my CD collection because I really didn't have many of his older CDs. So I've been getting all kinds of new CDs and let me just tell you, I'm amazed by him. To think that he's been making CDs for like over 30 years and nothing he writes sounds the same, and he can still just churn out great songs today like it's nothing. I wish I could do that! Also I've got a new favorite musical theater composer, Adam Guettel. If you haven't heard the Light in the Piazza, check it out. It's the most beautiful music you'll ever hear. Let's just say that the Overture alone can make me cry. Yea I know I'm big baby and all but I'm a sucker for beautiful music and strings. Just check it out, you'll understand.
Let's see what else, I would talk about girls but there's nothing going on in that department. For awhile during Christmas break there were some girls that I hung out with, but nothing came of those. I guess this is just my time to be single. Which I suppose is good because I can focus on other stuff and get life together for the future. Although I still wish that I had someone to spend time with. I've been doing really well with the whole being single thing, but lately I have been missing that part of my life. It's probably because of Falsettos and all the love and stuff talked about in it. I just miss some things in life, we'll leave it at that.
Well I think this is quite enough for an update. I'll try to be better about it. So I'm off to bed to sleep in for my birthday! Yea!! Hope everyone is doing well. Bye!
