Goodbye to 2005

Dec 31, 2005 17:36

Well 2005 is almost over so I thought I'd get one more entry in before it's gone. This year has been something else for me. There have been awesome times and there have been down right terrible times. It's been a year of change for me and growing up. I'll just list some highlights:

- Finally turning 21! It was a blast.

- Seeing Kristin Chenoweth at CCM with Joy and Loresa.

- Pi Phi getting screwed out of winning Fryberger even though we totally should've won. I love them all and they did amazing and we're gonna rock out this year with some Mamma Mia.

- My relationship with Kim. No one expected it and it sucks because we were like doomed from the beginning, but our time together is special to me and something I'll never forget from this year. I'm glad that we're finally starting to be able to talk and be friends once again.

- Going to New York with Eric. Seeing 4 amazing shows and having an absolute blast. Plus I got to meet Stephen Schwartz. It was a blast and it's definitely time to go back.

- Getting back together with Kirstie. It was something unexpected and out of the blue, but I thought we were really going to work this time around. Unforunately we broke up again in November. I'm finally starting to see that it's for the best though. At least we're still friends and can talk.

- This year was the year of musicals for me. I think I said in a journal last year that I wanted to play as many as possible. Well I think I did. I played 12 shows this year, yea 12! I'm not sure how I survived. Here's the list: Seussical, Crazy for You, Bye Bye Birdie, Bat Boy, 1776, Light Up CenterStage benefit, Seussical (remount in June), Seussical (in Nebraska), Seussical (at MTL), The Wizard of Oz, Patsy Cline: A Life in Concert, A Christmas Carol. I'm even more happy that I arranged, orchestrated, and music directed two of those; the benefit and Patsy Cline. I'm just so happy that I'm so busy doing something I love.

Well I think that's the majority of the highlights. It was pretty much my year. There was plenty of other stuff and even new stuff that I haven't written about yet, but I'm just not ready to put it out there. Overall 2005 was a good year. I hope 2006 has more fun in store.

Happy New Years everyone!!!
