so just a little bit of a lowdown for what has been going on the past two days...
Yesterday was interesting. I got to teach the new guy Ollie how to do archery, and I was openly flirting with him as well. later in the day, my boss was giving me another job to do when we heard three tones sounded on the radio- that usually means lost swimmer, but in this case it just meant emergency because this woman had tripped and had a compound fracture, and her tibia and fibia were sticking out of her leg. eek. they said over the radio that she was 95, and the local hospital couldn't handle it, so they had a helicopter land at trout and flew her out. exciting.
last night we all went to the bowling alley for the canadian girl pascale's birthday, and i played pool- i now have the nickname of pool shark because i nearly 8 balled english jimmy, who used to work in a pool hall with ollie. it was awesome, ball after ball and i never gave him a shot, the thing is he is impossible to beat, but i beat him! ha! then we went home after lots of fun, leading to...
-got woken up at 3 am by mark and greg and my roommate rae by mark coming in and saying : i want some of your grandmas brownies!!!! drunk as hell they were then rae tried to get up on the bunk bed drunk. it was funny listening to a little new zealand drunk girl:
Rae: squeak thud 'ow! i have never had to do this after drinking. damn bed is so high!'
followed by much more.
then we were all asleep 5 minutes later with mark and greg started throwing stones at our cabin and knocking on it. crazy english and welshman. oh yea, and greg likes me....hehe....but i am hesitating on that. i know i already have a crush. he is cute i just can't stand this girl he was kind of with earlier in the summer before she left. ugh. oh well.
today i slept in because i was so tired, and then spent the morning on the beach for one of my work activities. hehe i love this job. then we had a lost swimmer drill. i love those every tuesday because it is where you run from the boathouse into the water looking for a dummy at the bottom of the lake. fun. but then during our staff meeting afterwards there was a lost camper at camp lakewood, so they had it at a class 2, which means there is more alarm. then they started to say class three....which means all workers in the whole resort come running, so we all had to put our shirts and shoes on and were getting to run off in a crazy manner again, but luckily they found the kid.
oh and people piss me off, but my english friend laura tonight royally pissed me off. there
she reminds me of jessica seibert sometimes. yea, she is great except for that part. that should give you an idea.
