The title of this entry is very misleading because although this is the "Disneyland" PART ONE trip, there is no Disneyland in this entry. This'll be a good prequel to the official Disneyland post, however.
Yeah, I've finally gotten around to editing these pictures, go me! It's taken a while, and just think, this is just what happened BEFORE Disneyland! There's a lot of pictures in this post, but it should be the best yet. Take a look!
This adventure started off on Thursday, April 6th, 2006, doing some final rehearsals before we head down to L.A.
Later that day, the tour bus finally arrived. We spent a good 18 hours on this thing all together; fun times...
It's kind of bittersweet to leave Brentwood, much less Liberty, when we're amid such great weather.
Although some of us had already established their place on the bus.
We made a dinner stop; the majority of us went to Carl's Junior.
And some of us traveled in large packs to avoid being seen.
Hmm?
!!!
While arriving at the Embassy Suites, Matt made sure he was incognito.
Derek just didn't know what to do.
The next day would definitely take a lot out of us. I took a morning stretch and look what's "up".
Lucas was ready.
Check out my tie!
Expressions change from somber...
To wild...
And out of control...!
Things toned down when I found Teresa.
We got to CSU Long Beach early that morning for a jazz and symphonic clinic. Derek had the style.
Fiona's just a little uncertain about things, now isn't she?
Not when she's with the Taikster.
lol @ Ms. Hurst ordering us around--she's our band teacher.
Whilst Courtney was jammin' out during the jazz clinic, I took a breather.
The symphonic band clinic was very useful. We spent about an hour on "Watchman", which was definitely well spent.
I liked their piano.
I can honestly say that their campus is highly picturesque.
Allan sure agrees.
I looked yonder and found... a blue pyramid?
Indeed it was!
Shane ran to it in the opportunity to get a closer look.
Triple-glance.
Texture.
While walking around the campus, we also encountered some interesting-looking fountains.
High exposure.
(Taken through Shane's sunglasses lens.)
It was so gorgeous down there--definitely a change from murky winter weather, except for the day we left B-wood, heh.
This is Skyler. We found him roaming among the bricks on the ground. Cool fella, that's for sure.
Paula Mascabeza showed off her Jamaican pride.
In an attempt to be "cool", Derek managed to get stuck in between two large slabs of building.
What Caitlin didn't know while frolicking with Shane is that she'd find herself landing in that fountain later on.
She should be glad I didn't get a picture.
Aw Becky and Courtney.
Derek was reading aloud from a very inspiring novel.
See?
lol @ Richard and Fiona too.
Leaving the campus.
I was prepared for the performance.
As was Courtney.
And... so was Shane.
What we didn't realize is that we'd have a lot of time to kill. About an hour, at least.
Mary and Derek.
Mary and me.
We attempted to take a group photo but it didn't work out well in the execution.
Just look at those red ears!
I like how this one turned out.
Lucas found some loot!
Behold the Mystical 4-Armed Man!
Yeaaah, all jazzed up.
And yet still waiting.
Inside of their band room I found this way ghetto grand piano, it was pretty cool.
Distant.
Kind of looks like Bryce is ready for the secret service or somethin'.
YEAAAH, almost performance time!
As usual, the performances all went well... *crickets sound*.
Once that was done, it was time for MEDIEVAL TIMES!
Paula knows how to get down with it!
Something drew attention from random fraternizing.
You can tell we were all revved up to get inside.
I sat next to these two awesome people.
And then the show began.
Our Black-And-White Knight gave us a sign of reassurance.
Chris Layen attempted to befriend the queen.
And some posed with the royalty.
Lucas easily toned it down afterward.
Bed time.
The next day: Disneyland. Stay tuned, there's so much more to see.
