The San Francisco Edition of American Idol

American Idol tonight was hilarious, for the thirty-five minutes I saw. Simon's getting his undies all up in a bundle, Paula was throwin' some insults at crazy times, and Randy was all over the place with his reactions.

That one girl, I believe her name was Anita Baker, was actually really good, and that's where Simon said it was "Not for me." I'm ( Read more... )

ugh i hate when people throw tantrums when they find out they're not going to Hollywood. especially, since a lot of'em suck. no offense to'em, but golly, if i had a shot at auditioning for American Idol, or anywhere, i'd sure as hell ask anyone and everyone for their opinion on my voice. and take the criticism. but then again, i understand how frustrating that might be to have to wait all day, outside, in a line and hope you get a number and then go in and wait around some more. and then finally go in, sing for a few minutes ((or a few seconds if they're that bad)) and then be told you're an idiot for wasting your day. go home. i mean, i'd be pissed too. but see, i would have only put up with all that after being really really, sure i'd make it to Hollywood.

of course people are only trying out for AI because of tv. everyone wants to be famous. and i personally think it's pathetic at what some of these people will do for a few seconds on camera. that's why all these people go in dressed as Harry Potter or cowboys. that's why sometimes, i think people sing horribly on purpose, cuz they know they show the bad auditions on tv. and the huge meltdown/tantrum when they find out they're not going. i hate reality tv. mainly, cuz it ain't real. if all the people who watch ""Reality TV"" wanted real reality and drama and tears, they'd get a chair and sit outside of a high school. now that is real drama...

It's funny, because the people who DON'T end up making it to Hollywood are the ones that say, "Oh yeah, I'm making it--no question." Then the people who actually end up making it don't even talk about that; they just sing their hearts out and do awesome--like Clay Aiken and Kelly Clarkson.

Some of it's actually really hilarious, though, and that's what makes the first two weeks of the show great.

Yeah, H.S. has some serious drama. What's the main type of drama--do you think--at your H.S.?

lol i've noticed that too. that's why i liked Clay Aiken ((wasn't that into AI when Kelly won, although i still think she's a sweetheart)). and yeah, that's why i usually watch the first couple of episodes to see all the funny stuff, but sometimes i'm just so tired and all i want to do is be lazy in front of the computer, i forget to watch TV. like, i was supposed to watch $2 bill concert for Yellowcard at nine, but one thing leads to another, and i'm still here ((it's 938, know i didn't miss much, but i'm picky that way)).

i have no clue what the main type of drama is. we have everything. i know one thing that was/is a big deal is the fact that we have a nice handful of gay students. and last semester, they were freaking out because some other studens thought it'd be great to jump them. and i was really scared because a lot of them are my friends. and if i wasn't worrying they would get hurt, i was worrying i'd get hurt. people still talk shit about'em but no one's worrying about their lives anymore. that was drama cuz everyone was affected, you were for it or against it.

i know relationships are life to everyone at school. that ruffles feathers too because ""ohmygod he's going out with that slut. and she said she was my friend. and i liked him"" and ""dude i'm going out with four chicks and my girlfriend doesn't know"" and all that garbage. relationships can cover a wide area of subjects. everyone's got something to say about everyone else and of course we all have to defend so and so's brother's best friend's neighbor. and then there's always the, for lack of better words, sluts. male and female. they're there and ruining everything. i don't know man, i know all the stuff that people worry about and that make school hard to go to or concentrate on, but it's hard to go through and name it. or to even try and specify which is the main type. i mean, i guess it all seems to lead back to relationships. cuz surprisingly, people don't care if you're into drugs. they care more if you're not. and people stress over class but we all get through it and say we don't care. but when you get a significant other, all hell breaks loose. this is also one opinion out of my 2500+ H.S. but it's just what i see every day in every class.
