I'm getting settled into things here in Budapest. I finished the first week of a two week long language course and I'm can fairly comfortably navigate a menu at a restaurant and even place an order in broken Hungarian. I'm having a blast right now and I think it's only going to get better once I start taking math courses. I'm also going to continue studying Hungarian and hopefully, by way of immersion, I will have a decent handle of everyday Hungarian by the time I leave (but that's hoping for a lot).
I've done some sightseeing and I'll post pictures of the city to dispell any unwarranted beliefs that I live in the desert and riding on camels(you know who you are). It's a beautiful city and I love learning about the history.
Tonight, there's a huge outdoor dance party and it's going to be absolutely insane. Think European Mardi Gras. I don't think I'll be bringing my camera because the streets are going to be packed, but I will try to scavenge pictures from other people.
