A'ight, some 2000 miles later, I've relocated to South Hadley, MA. No real furniture yet, and no Joe. :(

The scale got packed with the moving pod, so I haven't been able to check on the weight situation. I do, however, have a measuring tape, which is probably just as good or better. I was horrified to find out I have a 32" waist. So now the goal has shifted a bit to dropping at least 2 of those inches. I'd love to drop 4, but lets not get so ambitious that I get discouraged.

The good news with Joe being gone is I don't feel like cooking or eating much. What's for dinner? Uh... crackers. And a can of green beans. Sure. My major problem is that I don't have a bike or karate school here. I still run as part of physical therapy, but I hate it. Which means I don't run far, and its a serious effort to psych myself up to do it. Need to find something here soon. As for the knitting, it's working out okay. I've finished a pair of fingerless gloves, which while amateur, I'm kinda proud of them. Now it's onto a scarf for Joe, which has a... rustic..look to it.

Joe and I have also decided on a project/experiment to eat as little high fructose corn syrup as possible. I know I can't remove it entirely, mostly 'cause this ATL girl can't give up her Coke. But I'm hopin' this will help clean up the rest of the diet a little. There's lots and lots of farmers markets around here, so I think we can do it. Although, I'm always shocked to find out what has HFCS in it. (Tomato soup? Really? Farm fresh ice cream? Why does it contain "solid corn syrup" pieces?)
