A Hallway gal....
Two in one day how weird…
I was looking down the hallway and saw through our glass door the woman my coworker is friends with.
The other day said coworker spoke to me about how things happening at our local museum were interesting to say the least and I wondered why and she began explaining. You see about a year and a half possibly two years ago the museum hired a new Executive Director.
She explained that the executive director and a board member began a romantic relationship. A relationship that broke my coworkers marriage apart. The husband and wife are in the midst of a divorce and have sold their home. Thus seeing her down the hallway now knowing this makes me sad for her. A 30 year old marriage, which probably wasn’t perfect, but to have this happen.
My coworker explained that the issues said museum was having with the exhibition had also something to do with the ED’s reputation. A small town like this things like that don’t go over well with the folk.
I also write this because that museum mixer I went to on Saturday was at said museum. The first thing I was asked to do while there by the now divorced man and the affairy woman was take a picture with my friend for their event pictures. It was weird I mean the whole thing has nothing to do with me but how does someone do something like that and then seem to just live and be in front of everyone. Yes, I get that this has NOTHING to do with me but it just made me sad for the now divorced woman.
Coworker also let me know that she still goes to the museum when they have openings putting up a brave front for the town to see. I can’t even imagine. She looks happy down that hallway talking to said coworker and another one as well.
I hope she is. I hope she truly is.
