Richard and Kevin Oh MY!!!

Hey,

I guess this is going to be my thing now. Whatever that means? I’m must going to post on my goings ons and what not. This weekend was kind of an event which is weird to say because most of my weekends are spent…. GRRRRRR Someone just made me angry …idiots…

Anyhooo back to my weekend… :D

I will also interject before I really get anywhere that the stupid Apple iTouch/iPod update effed up my iTouch so I had to reformat it and it was as if my last years worth of stuff never existed because the backup didn’t work. AGAIN EFFED IT UP!!!

Let’s see because of my lack of sleep this past week, 4 hours a day probably isn’t enough, my Friday afternoon as in around 4pm I began to completely crash at work. By 5pm I was driving home in pain and it was NOT pretty. Took every once of effort I had to actually make it home without getting into an accident… SO BAD. Once I arrived I went straight to sleep but did manage to wash my cookie sheets I used the night before to make 2 batches of them, oatmeal chocolate chip. I KNOW SO GOOD!!!

Sorry, sorry back to Friday…basically I fell asleep for 4 hours and woke up at 9:30pm. Falling asleep again until around 4am and oversleeping for work on Saturday…FAIL but it was kind of ridiculous. Was at work doing work things.

Now it’s Saturday afternoon and I managed to be invited to a museum mixer of sorts. NO not that kind of mixer the kind where a museum has a party to get the ‘young’ people in…. I know I thought it was an interesting idea as well. You must also realize that probably 75% of the community where this museum sits is upper class, middle aged Caucasians. So trying to get the ‘young’ folk to come, hang out and become members is what they need to do.

I must also mention that the show that is in the museum currently is an urban Latino punk rock flavor show. So most of the people in this town don’t understand or really think it is appealing. OH and I am not saying that because that is what I think they think it is because there are articles in the local newspaper from people stating it is what they think. My opinion on this is some of these people barely understand the Caucasian punk rock scene I know they wont understand a different language scene altogether. That last sentence was all me.

The show itself is very interesting. Something that falls into the category of I understand because I am this culture. I get it and if I didn’t understand some of the pieces…like a video of a future race of buffalo, as played by a poodle with horns, with ominous music in the background and blown out people dancing well then I at least enjoyed the randomness of the piece.

I was jumpy and the DJ was playing Latino dance music so I wanted to dance. I tried to get my friends boyfriend to dance with me but he said no because he was a shuffler and to be honest at that moment I didn’t want a shuffler I wanted a rythim and shaker at least. So when an acquaintance that we know from other functions came up and said hello I asked if he danced. He said yes and off to the races we went…. Once we were up and running it was kind of funny when he says ‘I’m so happy you have rhythm.’ Thinking I had non and being nice when saying yes. I answered with an ‘I’m happy YOU have rhythm.’ We then spoke about how we both end up dancing with people that don’t have any and how awkward it is… We laughed and danced and it was fun. He was dressed to the nines because he’s that kind of guy his partner was sitting in another room because he’s that kind of guy and we had fun.

My friend and her friend left at some point and I followed soon after. Hey I barely knew anyone besides those mentioned above and some coworkers and I was NOT going to stay and hang out with coworkers as much as I like this specific one… Just NO!

SO I went home and watched me the X-factor UK episode. Which was rather strange… It was very NOT rock week. Just a weird week all around for the contestants.

Then I watched the new episode of Strictly Come Dancing which I love. I have fallen in love with a lot of the professional dancers from this version of the show. Flavia is her name and if liked girls I would move to London to woo her!!!! Her dimples are the sun in the sky… *giggle*

Seriously Len Goodman on this show is HELLA EPIC!!! ”I’m gonna call you the midwife because you keep delivering“ I mean COME ON!!!!

…… sorry I got distracted by Tumblr. That website is black hole of awesome!!!

I don’t think I did anything else on Saturday…

Sunday, one of my two days off I went into San Francisco with a few other people to see Richard III with Kevin Spacey. I’ll tell you about that when I get to it.

First, we parked at Union Square and seriously SO pretty. Usually, when I go into the city it is dreary and cold. This past Sunday it was sunny and warm and beautiful. Got out ordered lunch to go and ate in the shade at Union. We then went into Macy’s looking for chocolate covered strawberries that to you might sound fantastic but to me after hearing this woman ask for them over and over again was just annoying. Macy’s on Union has a Godiva chocolate place that makes them but when we went they were drying. OH and they cost 5 dollars a pop…

After lunch and Macy’s we went into Saks which is crazy all together. Down to the shoe section I went because I LAHV shoes and I must admit that some of them were NOT worth the 8 to 9 hundred dollars they were asking for. JUST WHY make ugly shoes. I know I know because dumb people buy the ugly. IDIOTS!

I then proceeded to go up to the designer label floor. Oscar de la Renta, Michael Kors, Vera and all of the others. Woman I was with tried on a pair of 9hundred dollar pants. Pretty clothes make me happy even though I will probs NEVER fit into their rack sizes….pity.

So now onto Ricahrd III. We had nose bleed seats and it was packed to the rafters which we were actually on… hehe. The production was very contemporary. Clean delicious men in delicious striking suits. It was wonderful. I have very little words because Kevin was great as were the rest of them! Cept where the part of two very young parts were played by teenage or early 20 something girls. Very strange indeed. Made obvious by their voices. Sam Mendez directed which is great that he went back to where he started, the theater.

After the show we left and home I went. Watched both X factor and SCD and probably some other stuff. The end of the World Series. Such and such.

That was my wacky weekend. Which really wasn’t that wacky at all but full of niceties which it never is full of.

See’s ya in my next post.

chocolate covered strawberries, strictly come dancing, kevin spacey, richrad iii, x-factor uk
