Dave Arneson dies at 61.

Dave Arneson was sort of the Steve Wozniak to Gary Gygax's Steve Jobs. While Gygax was the larger than life media figure, Arneson left the company early after coming up with many of the crucial ideas that we hold dear in D&D.

I hope he's rolling 20s where ever he is now.

There has been so much talk about how the US has been slipping for years in education with respect to other countries. Well, how do you explain the level of planning, coordination, resourcefulness and forethought involved in the project cooked up by these 3rd graders from Georgia?

Also, I think all teachers should get combat hazard pay.

Total revamp of D&D kills creator. On the verge of D&D's 4th edition, which is a radical departure in tone and rules from previous editions and more closely resembles MMOs such as World of Warcraft, D&D creator Gary Gygax fails his saving throw against death.

Note: There are no saving throws in 4th edition.
