Hello there, true believers! I know it's been a while since you were "graced" with an entry by your humble narrator, but I just don't relaly have much to write about. So here's just a wee bit of stuff going on...
ONE) I saw the shit out of Batman Begins, and it was fucking righteous.
TWO) Streetlight Manifesto show kicked the shit out of the whole weekend. Whole Wheat Bread (all-black punk band WHAT?!) kicks a helluva lotta ass. Gym Class Heroes are a rap band. And if I liked rap I'd like them. The singer looks like he's constantly on coke (not the soda, silly!). SM was awesome live as per usual, though there was alotta hype surrounding the show and most of it wasn't fulfilled. They played their whole CD minus "The Saddest Song" but they also played "Keasbey Nights" in the middle of "Point/Counterpoint" again, and put "9mm and a Three-Piece Suit" in the middle of "Failing, Flailing." And they played "Better Than You," which was cool. But, honestly, I think my favorite SM show I've been to thus far is still the one in August when they played their whole CD and covered "Hell" and played a BOTAR song ("They Provide the Paint..").
THREE) I can now legally drive in the state of New Jersey with somebody who is 21 and has a license. Total number of casualties during my driving lessons = ZERO, muthafuckas!
FOUR) The Aquabats new CD, Charge is pretty sweet.
FIVE) Somehow, I've managed to grow a liking to that "Mr. Brightside" song as I've heard it, oh, around 347.5 times in the past two days, and it ain't bad at all.
SIX) I really wanna go see Reel Big Fish this Friday, especially cause now The Pietasters are playing with them. But I have to go to LBI, and there's nobody to drive me down there on Saturday. That makes me sad.
SEVEN) I hate T-Mobile cause its service sucks. But now they've gained some MAJOR fucking brownie points cause they have Fishbone 's "Party at Ground Zero" as a ringtone. It makes me happy.
