so i finished reading "still life with woodpecker" for the second time,
and it'd be a crime for me not to say that that book ranks up in my top three.
it's a beautiful novel, and it deserves recognition.
now to figure out who to lend it to!
on the subject of the book, it really got me thinking on, what i think, are a lot of important questions.
one question the book breaches is "how to make love stay?".
and i think it's a fucking good, pertinent question damnit--
and not enough people ask it.
"We waste time looking for the perfect lover, instead of creating the perfect love."
it's true. it may be some hippie, indealist shit-- but it rings true.
i think part of the reason i get along so well with all the girls i know is that
good chemistry is something i'm always concerned with MAKING.
passion is something you craft,
nuture,
and mold to your comfortable perfection.
it's not something you find.
the book also taught me how to make bombs.
but since the internet, and furthermore my livejournal, are not the most secure of writing places
i won't go into detail :)
