I live in Germany and usually buy all of my food at the U.S. Commissary and usually buy American brands but both my husband and I like the richer taste of the German brands of yogurt they also sell at the commissary. The plain Greek-style yogurt we buy comes in 4 individual cups of 1/2 cup serving. The box and each cup are stamped with a date, but no mention of if it is a sell by date, a use by date, a best by date, or an expiration date. Which American brands of food usually say. I know American yogurt last 5-7 days past the date thats stamped on it, so what about German yogurt? How long past this date can I eat it.
The yogurt in question has a date of March 19 and I was wondering if I could still eat it today March 23 which is 5 days past the date.
