When I went on the Clyde, on the Waverley, to see the Tall Ships Parade of Sail in 2011 we also saw most things that were on - or over - the Clyde.
As we passed Scotstoun we saw two of the new Type 45 Darling class destroyers which were undergoing sea trials. They were quite strange looking things, and not yet in full naval trim. The

This was taken from the car park at the Spean Bridge Hotel http://www.oldpines.co.uk/ when I was on my way back from Hawes in Yorkshire in September 2010.
I took this picture at Wansford Station, on the Nene Valley Railway, when I was in England for a few days last July. I went to spend the day with a very old friend (met in the playground of the Montessori school in Autumn 1956!) and he decided this is where we would go for a day out.
There isn't much around that is yellow at the moment and I don't even have any bananas in the house!
This is one from eighteen months ago taken from the slipway at Kylerhea waiting for the ferry to Glenelg on the mainland. That water was very still and the sun was shining nicely. curiouswombat will know exactly where I mean.
