Sometimes my country is cooler than we think it is.

Yesterday, we elected a new parliament and with it a new government. While I'm not too happy about the result (I knew I wouldn't be, considering the polls and the complete lack of a realistic alternative), something occurred to me today: We're going to keep a female chancellor and get an openly gay foreign secretary/vice-chancellor, and it's not an issue. I guess this wouldn't be possible in a lot of countries.
So I'll put all my political worries aside and say:
Way to go, Germany!
