Maybe it's just that I don't know the old World of Darkness nearly as well as I think I do, or maybe my mind's eye needs a contact, but it seems to me like Bulletproof Monk (which, courtesy of boredom and cable, I've just now gotten around to seeing) fits remarkably well in a Mage framework. Think about it: the titular monk can be seen as a member of the Akashic Brotherhood, he's being chased by suit wearing Nazi oppresion goons that register in my brain as Technocrats, and the scroll is some kind of instant Ascension War victory McGuffin.
The Exalted Players Guide: it's the book for those who so enjoy playing an insanely munchkin god-king that they'd rather play a normal human instead... waitaminute. :P
Is it worth my time to accuse Paolini of money-grubbing for turning the green brick into a pair of books, or should I save myself and the fanboys some trouble and say I'm just jealous I don't have coddling publisher parents of my own?
