Previously I wrote about my weekend-before-Halloween activities. But that begs an obvious question. Well, it's obvious to me, but I am the one telling the story. Regardless, the question is this: Pre-Halloween activities are well and good, but what did I do on Halloween night? And more importantly, why would anyone care? Well I'll tell you...Tom and Monique.
The short answer is pumpkins, 3D glasses, then pumpkins again.
I carved a pumpkin with some friends Tuesday night (and it came out pretty good, if I do say so myself). Then on Wed (i.e. Halloween), it was Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D, which looked pretty neat. I really didn't expect the 3D to be that good. Following that we did what anyone would do after a 3D movie...throw pumpkins off of piers and river-banks. It's the next logical step if you think about it.
Carving pumpkins is fun, but gratuitously destroying them is amazing. Short of using a sledge-hammer, I can't imagine a better way to dispose of a butchered pumpkin carcass. At least not on Halloween night.
