I had a most unpleasant experience with a total douche that called in yelling at my agent.
Apparently late afternoon yesterday he called in requesting to see a specific Baseball game. The agent he got misread the lineup and sold a relatively inexpensive cable package to the customer that has sports lineups. Well, it turns out that the specific channel needed is actually part of a Season Package that hosts the majority of the MLB games, which is relatively expensive.
The customer FREAKED! I removed all the charges associated with the change of services, and offered to assist him with ordering the correct package. The problem is that the game was almost over, and he felt he shouldn't have to spend that much money since it was OUR fault he missed the game.
He wanted restitution for not seeing the game.
I reiterate, he wanted us to give him money because he missed a freaking game.
He yelled at me for a solid 20 minutes, and wouldn't allow me to finish a sentence. Then he demanded to speak to my manager because I wouldn't give him any money.
Any Supervisors out there reading this know it never looks good when we forward calls like this douche up the line. But I did it because I knew if he yelled any longer, I'd tell him to do what I titled this post.
All over a mother-fucking BASEBALL game. I'm talking to the person I sent the call to on Tuesday to see what he feels I could have done differently.
