House-Sitting: Day 4 - Getting Used to It...

Mar 11, 2008 22:38

I woke up this morning before my alarm went off.  It was no thanks to my incessant coughing that has been the bane of my very existence this past few weeks now.  Anyway, I was kinda nervous that I might not wake up early enough to make it to work on time, but turns out I did OK.

I set my 1st of two alarms to go off just after 5am.  Little did I know that I have a third alarm clock in the form of MOM calling me just before 5am (she wakes up before 5am to get ready and leaves the house by 6 or 6:15 to go to work).  I was kinda groggy still when Mom called, but good thing I had the TV and satellite remote handy and turned it on, leaving me with "ambient noise" or something. -LoL-

I didn't actually haul my arse outta bed until 6:30am.  I just stayed in bed thinking of what should I make myself for breakfast.  Monday Mom cooked so I was outta bed before 6am and ate breakfast before 6:30am.  But today, it was just me and I wasn't really in the mood to cook something for brekkie.  I left the house right around the same time as yesterday, but compared to Monday's traffic flow on my new route, today was kinda heavy, but I still made it to work with 15 minutes to spare before the start of my shift.

Work was...well, it was a mixture of something interesting that happened to me nearing the end of the day and something along boring too coz it was such a friggin' slow day!  There were hardly any phone calls that came in, which was odd.  Usually around this time of the year our call center's already bombarded with phone calls for people wanting to place ads for their businesses!

Anyway, my day finally came to an end.  I was in a rush to get outta there, head back to my bro's place, pick up their mails that I forgot to pick up yesterday (they live in a new area where mailboxes are setup away from the house).  I was only in the house for 15 minutes tops then I was out the door and headed towards the PT job we took over from my bro's in-laws coz they don't want anybody else subbing for them while they were on holiday.

We had a late start this evening, but we still finished on time.  I was home by 9pm and was able to watch this series that I've been trying to catch on and off.  Since I don't have satellite at home, I couldn't get the channel the show was on, so I only get to watch it when I'm at my brother's place.  I had a late dinner, but what else is new?  I ate something before we started our PT job (Mom bought some KFC), so I wasn't really hungry. BUT I was dehydrated!

Now one of my other fave shows is starting so I think that's my cue to quit typing and start concentrating on the show on TV. -LoL-  Until tomorrow's update on my house-sitting experience...
