Since I had bleached my hair blonde I have experienced a bit of dryness in my hair the past couple of months. I have no idea why because when I had bleached my hair blonde years and years ago, during my highschool and college days, my hair didn’t look so dried out. The last couple of months my hair felt dry looked dry and looked frizzy and I really had no idea what I could do to fix it. I also did the deep conditioning thing but sometimes that just makes my hair feel so heavy. I guess the day I switched shampoo to manage the color of my hair probably did it and when I recently went back to my previous shampoo there was a difference.
I started using Hello Hydration from Herbal Essences sometime a couple of years ago and then I decided to switch to Herbal Essence Color Me Happy which was decent for keeping the color rich and bright. Then I switched back to Hello Hydration then did a little bit of an experiment with it. I’m a Shampoo then conditioner type of person so I buy both shampoo and conditioner because I do not like how my hair gets all tangled up after washing my hair with the combination shampoo and conditioner. So after shampooing I used the conditioner and of course worked it in to the ends of my hair. Leave the conditioner in the hair for like 5 minutes then wash it out. Although I do not wash all of the conditioner out. I make sure to leave in enough then squeegee my hair out of any water it may have then towel dry my hair for a bit.
After my hair dries out there’s a bit of a shine to the ends of my hair and it feels soft and looks healthy. It looks much better than it did before so to me rinsing my hair out but not completely rinsing the conditioner out seems to help my hair look healthier. It may not work for you but you would never know unless you try, right?
I’m also looking into the Essentials hair treatment line. I’ve heard great reviews about it and trying to pull up some cash to get the set and try it out.
While looking for stock pictures of the Herbal Essences shampoo and conditioner I came across this product.
It’s a leave in hair treatment under the Hello Hydration line. I may go hunting for this product and try it out to see if it helps my hair any as well. Aside from using Wella’s Brillance Color Treatment that I got from the Beauty Social (which I love by the way I’m wanting to get the full tub of it because I’m running out of the sample) and Garnier’s Fruitis Color Sheild treatment, this probably would be useful in making my hair look healthy.
