Upcoming Holiday Events 2011

Sometime last week a giveaway winner received her prize package from me. I’m not too sure about the other two winners though, I haven’t heard anything much from them about it, but I’m sure one will receive their package a little later due to being out of the country. I’m also glad that the giveaway winner loves the prizes and has a new favorite pair of lenses from that prize pack. <3

I’m setting up another giveaway with a couple more pairs of lenses and some lashes that I will be receiving sometime this month. There’s also going to be more for the prizes cause I’m probably going to gather them up when I’m visiting my family up north this holiday. The giveaway will probably be set sometime min January or early February and I want it to be somewhat early in the year as a Fresh New Year Giveaway or something. I have to think about it, but more information coming up on that when the time comes.

So there is probably bound to be plenty of posts coming this next two or three weeks. I will be visiting my family in Connecticut and New York this coming holiday break. My daughter has a two weeks off from school and we will be driving up north, so I will probably be blogging the whole way through. If I’m not asleep on the car ride most of the way. I think the bigger concern is if my daughter can handle the 24-26 hours of sitting on her butt. I don’t think that would be possible for an active five year old. Honestly I don’t see much blogging when I visit my parents and sister because I usually go into hermit mode and lock myself away in the bedroom for a while. That and sometimes there’s nothing really much to do.  Unless I’m in the city then I go places.

The plan is to make sure my daughter has a great holiday weekend and visit. She’s more concern that Santa Claus will not find her if she visits my parents and that she won’t get any presents cause he doesn’t know where she is at. We had to ensure her that she will get presents from “Santa” this year, and honestly I wouldn’t break her spirit cause she believes in the guy, I mean she’s five years old. Let her have her youth.

Biggest thing is that my mother gets to see her grand daughter at least once this year because we meant to go visit them during the summer before school started up again but never had the money to get plane tickets for that. So the change in plan was to go up during Christmas. That way it’s two weeks of them loving on their grandbaby/neice. My daughter is more into wanting to see her aunts and uncle though. Not entirely sure why is that. She is the only child we have so she is a bit spoiled, and by spoiled I mean she got her own DS when she was three. Most three years old have vTech handheld games, my daughter had a Nintendo DS. Also what five year old has their own laptop. Granted it’s a hand-me-down laptop and it use to be my husbands work laptop until he had to replace it with a Mac, but we did set it up to be kid friendly and she only has games like Hello Kitty, Peggle and Plants vs Zombie to play on. Ah what can you expect from geeky, gamer parents?
