Bday thank you post!
It's traditional to get a gold key or ring or necklace on your 21st birthday to celebrate your coming of age - at least it is, in most Chinese families. But because I don't wear much jewellery or even like gold, everyone from my dad's side of the family - dad, uncles, aunties, grandparent and all - decided to pitch in to buy me my own laptop instead! \o/ *hearts them all so much*
I spent the actual day watching the silliest ghost movie ever created titled, "Where Got Ghost?" with my mum, before heading to my grandparents' place for a delicious steamboat dinner with the rest of the family. Instead of the usual cake, my aunt made us a dragonfruit jelly cake instead! It was a yummy affair. *g* I didn't get a chance to go out with my friends or hire a stripper because we all have finals and etc in the coming weeks, but all the birthday phone calls and horribly out-of-tune singing totally made up for it.
But it was you guys who made my birthday such a special one!
