Rehab XCVI: there is no time (i'll run away with you)

Paige's apartment was a good time. The new place is full of light everywhere, with a vaulted ceiling on one side and a balcony, and window seats in each room (though there's no actual "seat"). Their rooms are bigger than the ones at Zufall.
Friday we helped move the rest of their stuff from Zufall to Paul's place (plants) and to their apartment, and while Paige worked I helped Mama Lisa rearrange the plants on the balcony to give them more sun and make space for their grill. That night was spent with Paige and me on our laptops, as I described that night, sitting together watching Noel Fielding being his Noel Fielding self. There was a lot of laughter and champagne and British jokes. We stayed up till around five in the morning and I decided that while I love whiskey and merlot I do not like champagne. A glass of Crown is a lot more bitter, but champagne...champagne just tastes sour. I see why my mom doesn't like it.
Saturday we spent with Rachel and Daniel, Taylor and Christina and Mark (although they left soon). We lay around watching more British jokes and teasing one another, eating ice cream and going to Jack in the Box. Later it was just me, Rachel, Daniel and Paige because Taylor's friend kidnapped her and Chris and Mark went off ostensibly to get something for Paige and the others but as it ended up they never came back, so... yeah. We all watched Amy Winehouse and ate Oreos, and joked with each other about anything and everything, and I showed off my nationality-guessing abilities- which ended up actually amazing Rachel and making Daniel blink. It was quite funny. The whole day was funny, really, with Daniel and Rachel both randomly petting my head, and then later Daniel's feet kept randomly appearing near my eyes, and there was generally just a lot of silliness and a little more champagne (although around then I happened upon apple juice. Oh the glory.)
That evening after Chris and Mark were gone we four went down to the pool and sat with our feet in the water, talking. It's funny how when I meet new people with Paige they end up liking me, whereas when I do with Christina they don't. And sometimes it's the same people. I wonder about that.
Anyway I splashed Daniel and Rachel and we lay back and looked up at the moon and talked, and Daniel asked if I had ever been in love. I laughed because Rachel squealed and asked why he kept asking awkward questions, and then I said "Yeah, I have. I am right now, actually." And he asked Paige and Rachel, too.
  Generally we just had fun.
We went back into the apartment later and had more Oreos and British people, and lay around talking till they left. Then Paige and I sat up on our laptops for a while and then went to sleep.
Mama Lisa woke us up around eight to tell Paige to take me home because they had a lot of stuff to do before Paige's dad comes. I wonder if she's nervous....
Anyway, this weekend was a lot of good times and little hijinks. Hopefully that's a good sign for the rest of summer.  Right now Kori is dancing to Frou Frou and eating a little burger I'm feeding her, so I'm going to go.

hijinks, things, daniel, happy, summer, rachel, british comedy, weekend, paige's house, pool, stuff, champagne, good
