I started delivering papers for Jim, only a few days every week. Since he got another job he says that he can't do the papers every night, I can understand that I did papers and a day job at one point it really is demanding. Doing his route is not that hard, it is basically the same route I use to do with a bit added on. I really would rather not do any but I need money.
I haven't talked about video games in a while, there hasn't been much to talk about. Or rather not much to say at one point.
On pc front, all I really have to talk about is Sims 3 and the new TF2 update.
To talk about Sims 3 first I must say that the only Sims I played before was the first one with no add-ons. I'm trying to remember when that game came out but I'm drawing a blank, I thinking 98' but I know that's wrong. I'm probably thinking 98' because EVERYTHING seemed to come out in 98'. Anyways I only bring that up to say that the game has barely changed since then. Sure lots of small things but the only major thing I can say that changed in the game since the first is the fact that your sim can now die from old age. There are lots of changes in the game but really they don't change much how the game is played.
After about 3 days of playing the game I got bored and stopped.
The new TF2 update adds new weapons to the spy and sniper, two of my favorite classes. So when I saw the update news I was excited, that excitement turned to disappointment after I got the new weapons.
Let me break it down for ya.
Spy's new items:
Ambassador, replaces revolver. Shoots slower and does less damage then the revolver. To balance this out they made it so head shots give crits. But really this doesn't matter to much because the crits do less damage then the revolver and for the most part you will be using the pistol up close when head shots are just luck.
I deem this weapon only semi worthless.
Cloak and Dagger, replaces invisibility watch. This is almost exactly like the watch with big changes made to it. First you stay invisible for as long as you want but depending on how fast you move depends on how fast your invisible bar goes down. When it is completely down and you move you are semi transparent. If you don't move your bar goes up, very slowly. And you can no longer pick up ammo to get the bar to go up, so when your out you just have to sit there and wait for it to go back up.
For me this has almost completely replaced the watch, it lets you just sit around without much danger and wait for the right time to attack. The only real thing dragging this down is how speed = invis bar, if you fall or jump off a hill it is almost completely drained.
I deem this item useful...sometimes.
Dead Ringer, replaces watch. Unlike Cloak and Dagger this is completely different then the watch. You can't go invisible anytime you want. First you have to bring out the watch (making you unable to shoot), and then you must take damage (you take 90% less damage for that one hit) only then are you invisible... for 5 seconds. And after those 5 seconds are done you must wait for your watch to fully recharge til you can do it again. The big saving grace of this watch is the fact that the shot that puts you invisible leaves a fake dead body behind, oh wow that is going to fool them when your on fire from the pyro that hit you... It does not get much worse then this, or does it? It does, when decloaking with this it makes a very loud noise telling everyone around that there is a Dead Ringer spy around, start spy checking.
I deem this item completely worthless.
The spy items are worthless, none of them help at what the spy is weak in. That being getting spy checked by pyros and sapping any more then one sentry. Usually when they make these patches they try to help a class fight there weakness, I really don't know what they where thinking with this. Maybe if they made the dead ringer so you can't catch on fire while invisible during the 5 seconds. Maybe if they came up with a replacement for the sapper, like make it into a emp bomb with a timer that could be defused with a wrench. They could have come up with so much for the spy and all they did was add two watches (wtf why two of the same item) and a new pistol even though the pistol is a "oh shit I'm about to die" weapon.
I was going to cover the sniper weapons but I feel I'm starting to rant a bit too much here. So I'll condense them in one sentience. They are worse then the spy's.
